Santa Rosa, CA – Nation’s Finest is entering a new phase of growth as the Santa Rosa-based nonprofit continues expanding its reach across California, Arizona, and Nevada, now serving more than 7,400 Veteran families each year. At this pivotal time, the organization has named Christina Ramos as its new Chief Development Officer. In her new role, Ramos will work to broaden the organization’s philanthropic base and build partnerships that support both existing services and future expansion.
Ramos brings decades of organizational leadership and service to the role. As California State Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), she led a statewide organization of more than 9,500 members, after serving as State Vice Regent and State Treasurer. She also spent 27 years at SRI International, including serving as Regulated IT Manager for its Biosciences Division.
“If ever there was a ‘right person at the right time with the right skills,’ Christina Ramos is exactly that for Nation’s Finest. We’ve had the privilege to work alongside her as a partner and have seen firsthand her commitment to supporting Veterans and the communities that serve them. Christina now brings that energy, expertise, and business acumen to an organization looking to strengthen our partnerships and expand our resources so we can reach even more Veterans and families in more places and in new, innovative ways,” noted Chris Flaherty, CEO of Nation’s Finest.
Ramos first worked with Nation’s Finest as State Regent, rallying DAR members statewide to support the organization’s Veteran housing programs. That support included helping renovate a Sacramento duplex that now houses formerly unhoused women Veterans and their children.
As Chief Development Officer, Ramos will focus on cultivating lasting donor relationships, developing strategic partnerships, and aligning resources with the organization’s mission to give Veterans the support and respect needed to live their best lives and make every Veteran feel Safe, Seen, and Strong.
