Redding, CA – May 6, 2024 – Nation’s Finest, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Veterans, hosted a heartwarming BBQ event last week at their Park Marina transitional living facility. The event aimed to bring together supporters of Nation’s Finest from the local community while expressing gratitude to the Nick Dahl Memorial Fund for its financial assistance that has made it possible to change many lives.
Among the esteemed guests at the BBQ were Tenessa Audette, Mayor of Redding, and Mike Dahl, founder of the Nick Dahl Memorial Fund. Mike Dahl, a former Mayor of Redding himself, carries the legacy of his son, Army combat Veteran Nick Dahl, through the impactful work of the Memorial Fund. Nick Dahl’s memory lives on in the noble cause of assisting local homeless Veterans, a mission close to the hearts of many.
“We are so very grateful for the continued support from this community and organizations like the Nick Dahl Memorial Fund, who help us help Veterans every day,” said Rebecca Daricek, Site Director, Nation’s Finest-Redding. “It’s important for us to raise our visibility in the community and foster partnerships that are crucial to our mission of helping Veterans heal, rebuild, and thrive.”
Nation’s Finest looks forward to the continued collaboration with the community and stakeholders to further our work in empowering Veterans toward sustainable independence.
